. . 《If My Poems》 . If my poems emanate a kind of fragrance like the scent of Paris perfume, please don’t ever use Baudelaire’s nose of dog to smell them! . If my poems manifest a kind of rainbow colors after the rain, please don’t ever use my color-blind eyes of cat to watch them! If my poems when I recite them gently upon hearing them my lover is surprisingly moved to tears, then I will say I do live in this life. . If my poems recited God listened liked them and gave me a lot of blessings, then I would dream no longer about the so called Nobel Prize or whatsoever . Alas, if my poems ... .
. 《The Death of Aphrodite》 . Have Aphrodite the Greek goddess squeezed into a cow slaughtering machine cut into blocks Have those elements of "beauty" extracted made into specimens; then a tiny jar a tiny jar displayed in a classified manner at the antiquities exposition, for the public to enjoy and see and receive a kind of education that's the twentieth century: of ours .
. . 《The Birth of the Universe》 . The universe from the very beginning with the size of an oval ball (with its absolute density unimaginable density) exploding expanding becoming what it looks today, all of that is due to God’s one single kick. .
.
. . 《Fly and Jasmine》 . A fly with huge eyes, rests on a budding jasmine, rubbing from time to time its pair of wings with its two hind legs, with a look of cleanliness and genteelism. Perhaps this is a blasphemy against beauty, that should be punished with D.D.T.. Yet it is not created by God no one can prove that, no one can prove that it is in the eyes of God a hideous existence.
. . 《Roaming on Earth》 . Roaming on Earth, alone myself, I raise my black cane, and stick it heavily on the crust hard and cooled, let people living on the other side hear a faint sound, hence perceiving my existence.
. . 《A Square in Memory》 . All over this square, were my verses written. . With feet, rather than hand. . The square's not large in area yet many trees were there. . As for those thoughts in heart, who would ever know? . Should it snow a little, that would be even more beautiful. .
. . 《Home in the Evening》 . Home in the evening is dyed with the colour of dark cloud, the breeze comes to the tiny yard, having counted the returning crows in the sky, growing lonely are the children's eyes. . The trivial words of my wife during the supper -- it's already misty what happened back in the years, and in the flavor of the vegetable soup so light, I can taste a bit of desolation of life.
. . 《Sculptor》 . Trouble is an invisible gifted sculptor. Every evening, he comes. With an invisible chisel he chisels the lines on my forehead deeper; and adds a lot of new ones. So day by day I'm getting old, and his work of art's getting done.
. . 《Roam at Dawn》 . The street in the mist is like a watercolor painting, the pedestrians are two strokes or three. At dawn there is a nameless kind of joy, grab a pole taking a few minutes' roam. At the crossroads, under the dark green ancient banyan, quietly stands the pillar box.
