We were listening to music—
a little Bach, a little mournful Schubert.
For a moment we listened to the silence.
A blizzard roared outside,
the wind pressed its blue face
to the wall.
The dead raced past on sleds,
tossing snowballs
at our windows.
《暴風雪》
我們當時正在聽音樂 ──
一點點巴哈,一點點哀傷的舒伯特。
有那麼一會兒,我們聆聽著沉默。
暴風雪在外頭怒吼,
風把它鬱藍色的面龐擠壓
